Located in Holland Park West, Queensland, Holland Park State High School has been providing students with education for over 50 years. With a strong commitment to helping students to make a difference in the world, they know the importance of creating a space that supports them in their learning. 

In a bid to create the most engaging spaces for their students, Holland Park State High School recently built a new ITD building and refurbished their old ITD building into four general learning areas. Sebel Business Development Manager, Tina Leko, worked very closely with the schools Business Manager, Mylee Ladynski to understand the requirements of the school. “We needed our spaces to be engaging, purposeful and practical” Mylee said. 

When it came to the design, Tina and Mylee were in constant communication to ensure that the school would get the results they were after. “The design process was quite lengthy for us,” Mylee says, “we went back and forth with Tina about what we do and don’t like.” Tina used Sebel’s 3D design program to design the space and switch out products and colours based on feedback from Mylee and the team. She said, “Nothing was too much for Tina, she offered alternatives to items and spaces when we were not 100% sold on the initial ideas.” 

Sebel offers a full end-to-end service from the design to the installation and everything in between. “When it came time for delivery, Tina was at our school with the installers, ensuring each item went into its home” Mylee said. Tina was able to refer to the 3D designs to make sure the spaces were fit out just like they had planned. 

“Overall, the experience with Sebel and Tina was easy, helpful and stress free. The communication was wonderful, we knew our timelines and if those changed Sebel would contact us immediately.” Mylee says, “The students and staff are so excited to be using their collaborative learning spaces.”
