POSTURA MAX® GOES GREEN - RAISING THE BAR EVEN HIGHER

The world’s best selling school chair is now available in 97.5% post-consumer recycled plastic sourced from the community.

Recycled Postura Max® gives schools the best of both worlds – legendary high performance with environmentally friendly credentials. Schools are rightly seeking more sustainable options across the board and we’re proud to have designed and engineered a robust, respected, recycled solution.

Managing plastic waste is a very real problem. In New Zealand alone we produce 380,000 tonnes of plastic waste every year, with less than 12% of it being recycled. The reality is, we’re making very little use of the precious resources we extract, without feeding them back into the resource loop. So we decided to do something about it.

Working with Martogg, Australia’s largest privately owned recycling company, we now take that waste, break it down into plastic chips and with our world-leading engineering, mould it back into our iconic Postura Max® chairs.

This is an important step for Sebel – and it’s one of many. We’re determined to play our part in protecting the world for future generations and we’ll continue exploring meaningful, effective ways to reduce our reliance on virgin plastic.

We can all make decisions that will help us win the long-term fight against environmental damage. Recycled Postura Max® is one of those important decisions. Students immediately reap the benefits of ergonomically designed and powerfully engineered chairs, and schools contribute to the constructive use of plastic waste, diverting it away from landfill. It’s the responsible choice, for all the right reasons.

On average, New Zealand produces 380,000 tonnes of plastic waste annually. According to Plastics NZ, each New Zealander consumes approximately 31kg of plastic packaging and only recycles 5.58kgs.

With every Recycled Postura Max chair, 3.8kg of plastic is diverted from landfill.
