We are lucky enough to have hosted the Design and Technology students from Norwest Christian College at our Sydney based head office and factory over the last couple of years.
We loved opening our doors to the school and sharing our passion for great furniture design and manufacturing.
The students spent time with our Research & Development Manager, Plant Manager, Product team and Marketing team, to learn about the processes of product innovation and design that will help them with their HSC studies as part of a case study profile.
Their excursion included a tour of our world-class plastic manufacturing facility as well as our very own NATA certified testing laboratory, where they got to see in person, the end-to-end process of manufacturing.
This included the process of how our world-famous Postura Chairs are proudly made here in Australia, and tested to meet quality standards and distributed to schools around the world.
70 years ago, we introduced the first-ever monobloc plastic moulded chair, and have remained leaders in plastics manufacturing ever since.
Our state of the art factory has advanced plastic injection moulding machines as well as an upholstery facility and assembly department making lounges, soft furnishings, tables and desks.
We have developed initiatives and practices that are part of our ongoing mission to conserve energy and water, reduce waste, and increase the use of recycled content. Wherever possible, we use materials made with a high percentage of recycled content, as well as renewable materials.
Thank you, Norwest Christian College, for coming out to Sebel and seeing our products and facilities. It was a pleasure showing you behind the scenes of what it takes to make great products!
